City: Manila, Phillipines
Main Hustle: Product Manager of an IT company
Side Hustle: Styleblogger at CakesandStyles.com; Dance instructor in the gym
How did you get started?: It all started out as a hobby, and since there are always lots of ideas floating in my head, I decided to pursue it and consider it a creative project.
When/where do you work on your Side Hustle?: I schedule my shoots on weekends/ holidays and find the time to write sometimes during the weekends or after work.
What are the challenges of your Side Hustle?: The challenge is always finding the time for it as a single individual.
There is also that so-called writer’s block, since I don’t want to be someone who just posts outfits on the internet. I want to add value to a post by writing something about what I wore.
What are the rewards of your Side Hustle?: I find it rewarding when I hear comments about other people being inspired to do what I do, whether it be aspiring to become a dance instructor or start their own blogging websites.
Who is your greatest supporter?: I have a set of friends who are really very supportive of what I do. They sometimes offer to do the shoots for me if no one is available.
Who/what is your greatest source of inspiration?: I draw inspiration from other bloggers around the world who have successfully transformed their own blogsites into businesses. If there’s a way I can work full time on blogging, I would definitely do it.
Have you received recognition for your work? If so, please toot your horn below so we can include these details in your profile.:
I have been featured in some online magazines (outfit-wise), such as WhoWhatWear.
What is your dream for your Side Hustle?: My dream is to be able to turn my blog into a business.
